Workplace Accidents

Many industrial accidents result from negligence on the part of the employer, another employee, or an independent third party. These accidents can be caused by a variety of workplace hazards such as falls from ladders, scaffolding, roofs, or unguarded holes. Some accidents may even be caused by fires, explosions, crane accidents, falling objects, exposure to toxic chemicals, or defective products or machinery.

We understand the hardship that this type of injury puts on families. Not only do you have to cope with the pain, suffering and emotional distress caused by the injury, but you also have to find a way to address the financial impact of lost wages and expenses for medical care and ongoing treatment

The Sawyer Firm is dedicated to helping injured workers in need.

About J.P. Sawyer

During his 9 year tenure as a partner at the Beasley Allen Law Firm, J.P. first developed a passion for practicing wrongful death and personal injury law.

However, closest to his heart has always been representing those that have been abused or neglected by the very nursing homes that were entrusted to care for them.

J.P.’s commitment to fighting for some of society’s most vulnerable members remains unwavering despite laws governing nursing home litigation becoming increasingly complex and difficult to navigate. In 2009 he was co-lead counsel in a landmark case for “resident’s rights” that resulted in a 4.75 million dollar settlement against a major nursing home chain.
